    I reread my post - don't see anything wrong with it. I haven't seen any evidence of vote buying.

    I DID see evidence of OVERDOING it by the RNC and Frist in the last election, running a ridiculously arrogant and patronizing run-off campaign, essentially telling La to vote or Terrell because Bush is for her. Frist ran silly dirty ads on Landrieu that completely backfired. Frist ran a campaign as if Louisiana is Alabama, completely forgetting that below I-10 is Catholic Country and the unchristian coalition stuff (Mary's values are substandard - my goodness) doesn't float down here.

    obvious that one of the key differences were people SWITCHING their votes from Terrell back to Landrieu - arrogance of the campaign, the realization that the republicans had control and that general preference for diffusion of power, and that as Terrell became more and more known, her weaknesses more and more known (she was a TERRIBLE candidate - she isn't even a particularly able city-council person).
