Like I said, we need to just agee to disagree.

I love Saban, and I hope he decides to stay even though I do not feel like he will. But if he does stay I would love for him to honor his contract that we signed him to just last year and quit interviewing for another job every year as well.

I would have to agree with you, why sign a contract if your not going to stick to it?

I don't want us to have to bribe a coach to stay every year, I don't know
if NS will go this year or next if ever?
    BUT
We all know it will probably happen 1 of these years.

When it does happen I will be happy to have a little more stability, a coach
that wants to be at LSU for something other than the money, a coach hopefully that won't be looking over his shoulder after every season and jumping for the NFL.

At the same time I will be very thankful for the NS years and what he did for LSU.

Flame Away but it makes no sense for NS saying he isn't interested in another job and then the Dolphins come calling and the rest is happening in
front of us, just like the previous years, here we go again.

    I would rather have BOTH.

Look at Stoops at OU, the coaches from Miami, Bowden at Florida State.

    Both are very possible.

why sign a 7 year deal or whatever it was?
Why not sign a 1 year deal at a time if your going to do this?

At the same time I guess it must be just as hard for his kids and family every
    year.

btw, I don't like the idea of bribing a coach to stay every year, TAF coming up with extra money, either a coach wants to coach here and earn his salary
    or he doesn't.

It would be nice to have both but right now we have a proven winner that wins championships not just games. That is hard to replace

I doubt that his contract prohibits listening to offers. Saban is not "interviewing" for a job. Miami sought, and received, permission to discuss their opening with Saban. That's all. Saban did not approach Miami expressing an interest in the job. Can't you see the distinction?

Wrong. He interviewed for the job. He said he would not need another interview. They didn't just talk about whether or not he was interested. If you believe they did talk specifics about salary, amount of control, player personeel decisions, length of contract, assistant coaches, philosophy, salary cap, fre agents, Ricky, etc. than we really disagree.
