I guess we'll just have to disagree on this one. I happen to think the threat of him leaving is another way to get LSU to give him a big raise, just like him talking to the Bears last season. And I do not think we should give him a giant raise every season, what the heck is a contract for?

And I will say that it seems as though the only thing the contract was for was to get thousands of fans to pony up the big bucks last year for the new seat licenses. I have to wonder how well that would have went over if Saban had left last season or just signed a one year contract.

You need to deal with facts and not hysteria. Saban's raise last season was not to keep him from the Bears. It was for winning an NC and recognition that he's a great coach and that he is wanted here.
And where are you hearing that LSU is being held up by Saban or his agent? Also, where are you hearing that Saban wants to re do his contract? That is just not the case.

 

Wow, you think Saban is doing this to get more money out of LSU?

My second question .... do you think he has earned every penny LSU has given him?
