The difference is choice. The fighters choose to fight and they are usually rewarded for it in some way. Violent sports are a wonderful thing to me, but not if you are forcing the participants to do it against their will. Then it is sick.
Did you ever ask yourself why there is only one rooster in every chicken coop? Its because their natural instinct is to fight off and kill the weaker rooster to maintain dominance in the coop. Deer do the same thing. The bigger bucks lock up horns with the weaker bucks to establish dominance for the females. Lions and turkeys do the same thing. College-aged men do it in bars all the time. Its what animals do. They fight. Its nature. Cajuns and Latins found a way to harness the fights for their viewing pleasure.
With razorblades attached for more damage? You guys are missing the point. Yes, violence occurs in nature and is a natural and necessary part of life. Strapping razorblades to chickens so backward-ass rednecks can place bets is barbaric. Go to a poker game and watch a boxing match if you need that kind of thrill.
i dont mind it. animals are on earth for us to exploit. sure, it isnt nice to animals to have em fight each other with razorblades or whatever, but who am i to stop it? none of my business.
I'd like to see the Cajuns fight the chickens. They both have to be barefoot and naked with razors stapped to their heels. I'm betting on the chicken.
me too, the cajun would walk to the chicken, grab it, then tear it apart and celebrate by making gumbo out of it. it would be an awesome spectacle of man vs beast.
