Sources saying a sprained ankle and bone bruise in his knee. Setback, but still....we caught a break.

Yeah, another Achilles injury, career ender. Bone bruise, ankle sprain, back in 1-2 weeks. Big difference.

Sean Payton says Brees, Jordan and Davenport will all play vs the Chargers Saturday. Starters should go into the 2nd quarter, depending on the number of snaps they get.

Just heard on the radio. Could be a possible replacement for Brees in a couple of years.

Got him for a 3rd round pick.

Bridgewater only has a one year deal with the Jets. If he doesn't sign a long term deal with New Orleans the Saints will receive a 3rd round compensatory pick.

I love it. Gives the Saints a backup who can keep them in the hunt for a few games if Brees can't play for a few games and if he wants to go elsewhere after the season Saints get the 3rd round of back.

And Teddy's accurate... If he recovers fully, this could be a steal... He threw over 3k yds before his injury in game 12 iirc... Let Savage play most of this last game to try and get something for him. ..

I like Bill Polian's take on the trade. Said he thinks the Saints feel the only thing they're lacking is a QB who can keep the offense going if Drew goes down for multiple games, ala Nick Foles last year. Me talking now... Brees is in the 1st year of a 2-year deal, while TB becomes a FA next year. If the Saints win it all this year, I could see Brees retiring after this season and the Saints going all out to sign Teddy. Otherwise, Drew stays, and if Teddy doesn't want to understudy for one more season, we let him go. Taysom Hill gets another year of development, and all the gamble cost us was a third round pick. They were saying on WWL tonight that the Jets were ready to trade TB to the Seahawks for a number 2 a couple of weeks ago, but Teddy's camp rejected it. They know Russell Wilson's not going anywhere. Also suggested the Saints had to have talked to Teddy's agent before pulling the trigger, so its likely he can see himself here long term.
