For some reason I ended up in the same precinct as every nursing home in Baton Rouge. This morning when I showed up the average age in the BREC gym was probably 150. The people running the polls were having carry people into the booths, read them the choices, and help them push the buttons. Then someone else would take the old person and carry them to the van. I think they might have been the dead.

It took me 45 minutes to vote and there were only 4 people in front of me.

A lot of the US Soldiers in Herat, Afganistan just got their absentee ballots yesterday so their presidential votes aren't going to count.

Man, I'm jealous of you guys waiting 10 minutes and such... I waited for an hour and half, in a town with not even 2,000 people. I got there at 9:15 and by the time I got out of there, 10:40, the line was almost twice as long. The old folks were telling me it was the longest lines they've ever seen for any election anywhere.

count me in baby! the polling place was in some neighborhood without a subway stop, so i thought i would have to walk, but some candidate was driving a school bus around and he gave me a ride. we followed the signs that said "vote aqui hoy". it only took 2 minutes. i am a good responsible american.

That sounds like such a south Louisiana thing. Candidates bussing voters to the polls. Had it not been for the subway comment, any bystander would have thought you were in NO/BR/Lafayette/etc.

I slipped out around 10:00, tryin to get to the polls before the rain started. There were are lot of elderly people there, also trying to beat the rain, but the lines were not as long as I feared. I had to wait about 15 minutes.

People in line were taking about the amendments, which they were not very well informed about. The descriptions in the voting booth were long and poorly written, as usual. Some of the old folks took their sweet time behind the curtain.

I voted early last week here in Texas. Very small line.

Every state needs to adopt early voting...1 week in advance would be sufficient.

    Go G-dub....God Bless America!

I voted two weeks ago in Texas early voting--thank goodness. It's cold, windy, and rainy in DFW today, plus I have to take my daughter to gymnastics tonight.
