Hell. As predicted we outclass Vanderbilt, but I think this first quarter shows alot of what is wrong with our team. We don't have the poise that we showed against Arizona in our National Championship season. We keep screwing up; our offense needs more time to gel. We are much better than we were last year, we've got more potential, we just haven't gelled yet. We can't tell alot about our defense in this game, we are just outclassing Vandy. We don't look bad overall; our passing game needs work but the biggest thing is that we just don't have it all together yet.
I'm sure the Ap will find some quality teams to move into the Top 10. It won't be #11 LSU. How hard can it be to score 6 points on Vandy when you're marching up and down the field all night long. JR was 70% early, dropped to 48% at 9/19 for almost 150. 141 yards rushing on 23 carries, that's over 6 a pop. Penalties, dropped balls, fumbles ... Where's the focus! I'm afraid to watch the second half ... shades of the AU game At least the defense has mauled Cutler and a weak as piss Vandy O-line. Cutler 6/16 for 50 yards, Vandy -12 yards rushing, TOTAL 40 NET YARDS! Kudos to LSU's defense for keeping them in this game. Florida has a weak line also, but nowhere near as bad as this Vandy line. It's a miracle they're 2-0 in SEC play, ONLY BECAUSE THAT CUTLER IS A 2ND HALF WIZARD & COMEBACK KING! I WONDER IF PELLINI WILL ADJUST HIS "D" AT THE HALF (D=Duncecap) Oh, I just "sharted", time for a break and another triple shot of 151!
Dude if you dont think struggling to beat Vandy is pathetic for a supposed top 5 team.................................Drink some more Kool aid lil daddy everything will be fine. First off I was a fan probably before you were born. Second I don't lie to myself about how the team doing. And if someone has an opinion different then yours does not make them a bandwagon fan. Dhead.
That will be the case for several teams. Teams move in and out of the polls all the time. I guess this argument won't be settled till the end of the year. If we win this game we will more than likely be a top 10 team. Whether people think we should be is irrelevent. Polls are totally subjective and there is really no true way to tell who the best teams in the country truely are--short of a playoff.
A lot of poor execution and concentration. We came out smoking and are still dominating on the ground. I think we'll come out strong in second half. We will wear these guys out.
JS, What's your deal with Jamarcus Bro???? He's can't make them catch the ball. He is sticking it in their hands. I'm up to 6 on the drop count so far. We gotta go deep more. His deep ball is damn near perfect 95% of the time. Vandy is playing tight on the underneath stuff, and JR has done a good job squeezing the ball in there so far. Jimbo needs to remember how we scored on the first drive and get back to it.
