Neal is the perfect size at 6'2" 264 lbs for the OLB. Maybe shed about 5-10 lbs just to increase his quickness. Or he may be moved to ILB now that I think about it and not have to lose any weight. Godchaux and Herron are perfect sizes for DE (6'4" and 290 lbs). Thomas and Gilmore can play the nose at 315.
ILB Beckwith 6'2" 255 ILB Neal 6'2" 265 OLB Key 6'6" 230 (needs to get to about 250) OLB Bower 6'5" 240 (needs to get to about 255) DT Godchaux 6'3" 293 DT Herron 6'3" 289 NT Gilmore 6'4" 313 These DTs we are recruiting this year will be thrust onto the field immediately as we have little depth other than LaCoutoure.
What is Rashard Lawrence? Would he be an end or a tackle in the 3-4? I'm not sure what his measurables are.
This article indicates the target number for the Tigers is 27 to 28. http://theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/1...-class-the-nations-best-at-moment-but-still-w If that's the case, it will be hard for anyone to beat LSU for the recruiting title, and possibly in all 3 of the major outlets (Scout, ESPN, Rivals).
I would think NT at 6'3", 305 lbs, he will put on another 10-15 lbs and play at nearly 320. That would give us 2 NTs in this class and 1 DE. Probably get two DEs in Taylor and Christmas-Giles. That would be an outstanding haul at both D-line and LB. LSU will end up with 2 nose tackles (arguably the most important position in any 3-4 defense) in the top 30 players in the entire nation at any position.
No, but from all I'm reading they're really beating the bushes and looking around. Haskins is the one they want, but I think they sign one period. IF not Haskins it will be a diamond in the rough.
