LSU vaults to #1 and has the highest avg ranking in their history (91.75, previous high was 90.05) with the Drake Davis commitment.
Using the nifty 247sports class calculator, if LSU nabs Lawrence, Mullen, Fulton, Divinity, Allen and White (all favored to sign with LSU), that would give LSU 304.83 points. Rarely do teams eclipse the 300 mark except for USC back in the Carroll days or Florida at the end of the Meyer era or Alabama as of late. LSU was just under the 300 mark at 299.3 in 2014 as their all time high. The record is 323.64 by Florida. Just to put things in perspective.
If we get Divinity and Lawrence, I would say we got our needs on defense. QB on the offensive side of the ball is the biggest issue. Allen gives us 3 O-linemen we usually get 4 or 5. We did get 5 in 2015, so maybe 3 is our actual target number. I don't think we're targeting any running backs, so we probably just look to 2017 to get a couple, since we have two very good true freshmen on the current roster.
I thought the staff told him he was the only one they planned on signing. Not sure if things have changed with his growing rap sheet.
