It has to do with the number of provisional ballots outstanding. Kerry lost. He needs to begin dealing with that. Incredibly, as of 8:00 this morning, ABC News has not yet projected Bush as the winner in Ohio, despite the fact that his lead is about the same as the number of uncounted provisionals. They should realize that a lot of the provisionals will be thrown out because these people were simply not properly, or timely, registered to vote. Also, the absolute best Kerry could expect is to win 60% of those that are counted. Bush leading in the other 4 states mentioned and projections are 286 electoral college votes for him. It's over. America is saved. :911: :usaflagwa
You are absolutely correct about that. I woke up at $ AM this morning and saw where Bush had Ohio. I knew then we had been spared for at least another 4 years. I was a little surprised. I overstimated the number of slackers that would go to the polls for Kerry. Then again, they are slackers I guess......call it a lesson learned.
Well, I definitely didn't stay up all night watching the election. And I just don't have the energy this morning to plow through the 23 pages of play-by play here. But if Bush has Ohio, he's in. With a Republican Congress and Supreme Court, Bush will have few reasons not to come through with everything he has promised in the next four years. We'll see. I expect McCain to pull the GOP closer to the center in 2008. Heaven knows who the Dems will come up with.
over now for sure. FOX has a headline saying Kerry has called Bush to concede. :thumb: :usaflagwa http://www.foxnews.com/
