Richardson said they closed the gap from 30K to 10K in the last 30 minutes or so. I not sure how, and he said they had globs and globs of absentee votes yet to be counted, something like 70K to be counted. It still shows 25K lead with about 1 % left to be counted. Even with absentee votes, they will probably go much along the same lines as it did in the regular voting tonight. Even with a 65/35 Kerry split, it would still not be enough.
Holy ******* **** Rather is just now seeking confirmation from one of those OLDER than dead 60 minutes guys on his interpretation of Bush winning in Ohio.
Rather is high larry us. Rather will not concede or award Ohio to Bush. Claiming Bush winning is only a hypothesis at best at the moment. Oh wow. I gotta get this recorded and onto computer...
Rather has nothing to lose since he has a mutual agreement to leave in the Spring. But you would think he would want to preserve any shred of dignity he may still have.
Ohio race for President 11366 of 11477 precincts - 99 percent George W. Bush (i) Rep 2,764,809 - 51 percent John F. Kerry Dem 2,620,594 - 48 percent
Ok they keep talkin about these crazy provisional ballots in Ohio. They are saying 175K now. Even if all these were valid, why are they assuming they all go in Kerry's favor? It will probably end up no better than 60/40 split for him. But they never mention that. What a joke.
