    Daschle making up ground in SD, now trails by 2%. It is amazing that slimeball can possibly win a state that went 61% Bush :angry:

    And Colorado I think voted down a ballot that would allow their electoral votes to be split up based on the popular vote in that state.

    Is that just the beginning of the end of the electoral college? Eventually.

    That is partially correct. Vitter will do a lot of good for our state when he represents us and I did vote for him indeed. I have no dislike for Bush. I just felt he can do a lot better in many aspects. I am a registered independent.

    I have to be awake in 4 hours for a plane ride to New Orleans...that is gonna suck!

    actually i thought they had stated that it was already in effect there or somewhere else which led me to the original info I posted.

    Nope, it wasn't already in effect in Colorado. Maine and Nebraska have had similar systems for a long time in effect though, which you already know anyways.

    The way the amendment in Colorado was worded, apparently it was to go in effect immediately and be used on tonight's election results.
