My initial instinct was to take the Wizards over the Bulls because I thought they had the better backcourt and just as good of a frontcourt. When I noticed that 18 out of 19 experts picked the Bulls on a major site, I figured I should pick them also. Rockets/Blazers game 1 was definitely a strange one with the Rockets giving it away late. Lillard and LA were easily the best two players on the court. It was a game of spurts by each team. It should be another good one tonight. How will Beverley's knee hold up and apparently Lin has the flu. I thought Barkley's response to Shaq about Howard was accurate. Howard is a "really good player". He's just not a superstar like he's been billed for most of his career. I've seen almost half of the total playoff games played so far but don't think I can keep up with that pace (i.e. wife & kids combined with months remaining of playoffs). Conflicts have prevented me from seeing either of the Warriors/Clippers games. Hopefully I'll get to see the remaining games as it's shaping up to be a good one. Lot of bad blood on both sides and two teams that are fun to watch. There's something about Mark Jackson that I've never liked.
Glad to see the Wizards doing well. Time for new blood in the playoffs. I hope they continue their upward arc in the coming years. Wall is fun to watch and Beal is nails. Barkley said this is going to be the best backcourt in a couple of years. Nene is their key, obviously. If he can stay healthy in the playoffs, who knows how far this team is going, confidence is a mutha.
Saw this article revisiting the 2012 draft class (written before the 2013-2014 season): http://truschoolsports.wordpress.com/2013/06/08/revisting-the-2012-nba-draft-class/ Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Bradley Beal, Dion Waiters, Thomas Robinson, Damian Lillard, Harrison Barnes, Andre Drummond all headed towards very productive careers. Terrence Ross has had an ok start to his career. We'll have to wait and see if he can elevate his game.
Spurs....not so much This series is not a good matchup for the Spurs. They should be happy not to be down 2-0.
They may have a little resistance. Good to see Portland taking their spot with a win tonight. Great gameā¦
The Rockets simply don't have an answer for Aldridge. He's making everyone they put on him look foolish.
The thing about the Spurs and why they are the favorites to win it all is their sterling road record (just as good as their home record). So look for them to steal game 3 in Dallas.
Starting to understand exactly what Shane has been griping about all this time with Scotty Brooks. Dude just can't get it done.
