Ibaka would be one of the better 5's in the league against the non dominant centers. It really is the direction the league is moving. And OKC could have paid the tax .... when you're winning titles you can eat some tax payments. Amnesty Perkins, sign Harden to a big deal ...

Durant is gonna come to LA, wouldn't be surprised if WB didn't follow him.

back up point guards are a dime a dozen. OKC is stuck with an albatross in the middle that is costing them 17m over the next two years. That, my friend, is the problem.

He's a shooting guard, he actually sucks at the point. Well unless you're saying a Rose style point, which is ... a shooting guard playing point. And he's one of the few people in the league who can create his own shot whenever he wanted. He could get contact. Name 1 other backup point guard that shoots anywhere near as many free throws as him (there is one out there, but I'd be willing to bet you can't tell me who it is).

Westbrook shoots a lot of FT's but that is because he is always challenging the basket. You guys are acting like I wouldn't want Harden on the team, not true, I'd love for him to still be here. Ibaka fucked that all up when he signed first. Had Harden inked the deal first it would be Serge who was on another team most likely. I said "point" because on most occasions he would come in for Westbrook to run the point and then at the end of the game He, Durant and Russ were on the floor at the same time if needed. I'm in no way saying Harden isn't valuable but the money wasn't there to keep him. They offered everything they could. My point is losing Harden will not be as detrimental as keeping/signing Kendrick Perkins to that ridiculous contract will prove to be.

They could have offered Harden a max contract, they would have just had to pay luxury tax. They could have amnestied Perkins before doing it and the hit would not have been as big. And I said backup that shoots as many free throws as Harden. Ramon Sessions of the Charlotte Hornets(Bobcats). I get him each year for my fantasy team as he will keep my ft% up.

They still need to amnesty Perkins and sign a true bench scorer. But brooks loves Perkins like les did #9. Blindly.
