Ibaka can't play the 5. He is an off the ball defender with a developing scoring game. As it stands it is a bust, but IF he can get a consistent mid ranger jumper and figure out how to play with his back to the basket he could pan out. To date neither of those have shown up. It still could but I'm not sure how long this team will be able to wait on it. Adams is looking like a decent investment and if he continues to develop could take Perkins place in the starting 5. Please if there is a God.

The initial Perkins deal when they got him from Boston was great, it was what they needed at the time, when they re-signed him for a ridiculous amount of money after that contract was up is where they went off the rails. Dude was worth about 1/4 of what they paid him and now it will/could cost Kevin Durant the best years of his life. That sucks ass.

Sure they coulda. They just didnt. Tried telling you harden was much more than you oakies wanted to admit. And that the thunder was in deep shit by not realizing he was a must sign.

I disagree. The future of the NBA is small ball. Ibaka at the 5 means a quicker, more mobile attack. You just have a center like Perkins on for the vet min to handle teams with a Dwight Howard, Andrew Bynum, Vucevic, Chandler. For the rest of the league? You don't need a true center. Look at Miami, they are best when Bosh is at the 5 and Lebron is at the 4.
And yes Perkins was worth it on his shitty ass contract from Boston. Durant needs to get out of OKC, they are not committed to winning. Come on over to LA, we will hook you up with some real talent, your drive will be appreciated instead of admonished, and you'll be the next Laker legends since D12 couldn't handle the spotlight.

This right here. So what if it pushes you into the luxury tax. Harden was on the cusp of being a super star, and they would have been perennial title contenders. Instead they worried about the $ and killed the rest of Durants career in OKC.

Wait, did I miss something? I didn't know I was the GM of the team and had that option at my disposal. You know I'd rather see Harden on the team. Ibaka signed first and took all the loot. WTF? They offered Harden more than they should have and he didn't bite. The team will pay for it in the end when they drift off into bolivia (love you mike tyson)

They couldn't because of dumbass Perkins. Thunder don't have Laker or Net or Knicks or Heat money. It was never going to happen. To your earlier reply, true, they only got Perkins to beat the Lakers when they had Bynum but who would have guessed he would have shit the bed as well as the lakers.

You are wrong about Ibaka being able to play the 5. He has value and I'm not sure it has been maximized to date but he isn't there yet. Lose Harden and get Kevin Love and now you have something, but not now. If Adams can develop and Russ comes back strong then there is a chance but the bench is still an issue. Collison is a baller but not much for a scoring option and he doesn't have many years left with the amount of beating he takes. Time will tell.

You were deep in the Nile saying hardens departure wouldn't make much of a difference and he'd not be the impact guard anywhere else. And he screwed up.

Okc screwed up not him. I'm guessing Durant won't re-sign when his contract is up bc of it now.

And they didn't last year because Martin replaced most if not all of Hardens points. The problem was they couldn't resign Marin because of Shrek.

The problem is not having harden. He was much more than his boxscore. Everyone with eyes knew this but you apologists.
