Official LSU vs Tenn Game THREAD

Never!!!!! After supporting Russell against those calling for his head the last two seasons I have come over to the dark side. Russell will never have the brains to match his physical ability. Every play looks like the first time he has ever stepped onto the field. For all his physical talent I feel positive that he is in line to become the next Aron Brooks. I'm disappointed in his inability to improve his decision making and in the coaching staff not being able to force feed him at least a little QB knowledge. Bring on Flynn!!!! :-(

 

truth is, with all the national Pub. that Tiger D. gets they are not a nasty and mean defense. They rarely make huge hits. (except against soft teams like arizona) Im starting to agree with the rest of the SEC. Tiger stats are padded because of their weak Sch. (Tiger D has not made a stop on 3rd and short in a crucial situation this year.) The most I can give them is that they play simple sound defense. the only reason it looks good is because of the talent on the team.

 

The defense is fine, although it would be nice to bring a little pressure on 3rd and long(coaching staff).

 

everything you said is directly related to the poor coach we have. penalties are on the most part COACHING!

 

I don't know who we ticked off at the SEC headquarters but they're definitely intent on screwing us at every opportunity. Maybe we forgot to contribute to the refs' retirement fund.

We have obviously committed fouls but to have ZERO calls on Tennessee is BS! Find a play when their O-line hasn't held someone. You know if LSU would've touched that punt, the call would've been a turnover.

On occassion, police are arrested for crime; judges are charged with accepting bribes; teachers are caught having sex with children, etc., etc....to think that our darling SEC officials are above cheating is ridiculous. Fire the bastards and let's start over.

Maybe John Kerry meant to say...if you don't study and become a dumbass, they'll make you an SEC official.

 

I hate to agree...tit for tat...pull Russell like UT did Ainge. Something to change the look of the offense. I don't think UT could make the adjustment in the second to account for a mobile QB.

 

man, the commentary is terrible in this game and the ref...THE DOWN REMAINS FIRST or THATS AN AUTOMATIC THIRD DOWN

Well I am going out to put up my greenhouse , it is hard enough to win playing 11 players , I hope the Tigers play hard ,and get one or two calls to go out way . The away games we have had it rough on some of the calls , . I guess that is why we like sports , one year we feel like we are on a roll the next year we think we are rolled on . GEAUX TIGERS !!!

 

One thing I am looking for but have yet to see in the big games this year are half-time adjustments (for the better) by our coaches. I do like that Lester is yelling at the refs - about time!
