I think OU just sealed the deal. Other than divine intervention, the Sooners just knocked off the #1 team in the nation! LSU = :crystal: BOUND? I pray so!
Least impressive? They played with a second string quarterback, wounded pre-season Heisman Candidate...in a Conference Championship game. Tennessee isn't a pushover team either.
Da Tigers -vs- Buckeyes for the :crystal: !!!! :geaux: :crystal: :geaux: :tigereye: :tigereye: :tigereye: :tigereye:
lol just lookin around the site and I look up and what do I see?? Wash is beating hawaii 14-0 with 7 left in the first. Well I'm headed to sleep I'm at work and 6am comes early:LSU231: :geaux::crystal::geaux:
It depends on how you look at it. If you rank the teams on their overall accomplishments on the season, than I would rank them: 1. LSU 2. USC 3. Oklahoma 4. Ohio St. 5. Georgia 6. Virginia Tech If you rank them on who are the best teams RIGHT NOW, then I rank them: 1. Oklahoma 2. USC 3. Georgia 4. Virginia Tech 5. LSU 6. Ohio St.
The first method is much more objective. It is really hard to definitively say one team is better than another, having played such disparate competition. It is pretty easy to see that LSU has the strongest resumé.
If I had to base it on overall resume, then I would have: 1. LSU (#8 SOS, 6 wins vs top 17 teams, 2 teams still in top 10, no losses in regulation) 2. Virginia Tech (#10 SOS, losses to only BC and LSU) 3. Oklahoma (#27 SOS, beat top 10 Missouri twice) 4. Ohio State (#48 SOS, best win vs Wisconsin) 5. Missouri (#14 SOS, lost to top 10 OU twice) 6. Georgia (#29 SOS, beat top 10 Florida) 7. Florida (#1 SOS, losses to top 10 LSU and Georgia, and top 20 Auburn) 8. WVU (#39 SOS, bad loss to Pitt and SFU) 9. USC (#65 SOS, best win vs top 15 Arizona State, lost to lowly Stanford) 10. Arizona State (#44 SOS, lost to USC and Oregon)
