I think we'll beat ND by 10 points, more or less, depending on how well both teams play.

    LSU 38
    ND 24

A couple days into the thread and it's just over 50 posts. Not much interest in this game so far.

But it will be even harder to get interest when none of their "fans" come over here and trash talk or whatever. I've looked at a couple of ND boards and they are either catatonic or completely medicated and delusional. So unless some fans come over here like the Michigan dfans did, this thread won't go very far I'm afraid.

The only way that I see the BCS screwed up is that ND is in it at all. They have been overhyped all season, and if not for the two teams per conference rule, they wouldn't be in it. The reason I feel Michigan should be #3, as they are, is because one of their "quality wins" is ND. Same thing with SUC. I'm glad in that respect that things turned out how they did. And for the Miles bashers, just remember what Miles and the Tigers did last year after the letdown of missing the BCS, or ANY decent bowl game for that matter. Just came out and SMOKED the U with the second string QB. I think he'll have them prepared for this game, and the result will be similar. Last year is the year we got screwed. This is a good thing for LSU this year. :geauxtige

That's a dangerous spread to bet on if it ends up around 8-11 point range. I think the Tigers will win easily, but the Irish might get that cheap meaningless touchdown in the last minute of the game to blow the spread for those betting on the Tigers.

Well the BCS didn't automatically force anyone to take the Irish. And it was the voters who bought into the hype and left them at #10 in the polls (or thereabouts) at the end of the season. So you can blame the voters and the Sugar Bowl for picking them over W. Virginia. W. Virginia would have been a tougher opponent.

True on both arguments. What I mean though is that the BCS is indeed flawed by allowing the human element enter in at all. I stated that Notre Dame was overhyped all season, and it was humans, i.e. Holtz, that were doing the overhyping. Fact is, we'll NEVER know who is the best team in the country. A lot of people, non Tiger fans even, believe LSU is the best team in the country. But granted, we didn't deserve a shot to play OSU. In my heart of hearts, I don't think OSU or Michigan could play an SEC schedule and come out unscathed, and probably would have two losses. For that reason, I believe FL is going to give OSU fits. If they should win by a small margin, it will be cheapened in the press. I've already heard the argument on ESPN Radio that anybody can beat anybody on a given day. Just look at SUC losing to UCLA. What they need to do is go in and put a beatdown on OSU a la BAMA vs Miami years ago, or LSU vs The U last year. Only way the SEC gets recognition is if LSU and FL both dominate. If this doesn't happen, we'll just have to go through the next season chasing the glamour teams up the polls, and NO mistakes can be allowed if we are to contend. They already have the ammo in their arsenal to say "The SEC got their chance last year". We must give them no choice next year.:geauxtige

Trust me I'm not bit(hing. And yes I watch the whole game. With the QB and receivers we have, we should not run the ball more than 12 to 15 times a game.
