How will the SEC do In the Bowl Games this Year ? I have bets on all the SEC teams I maybe in TROUBLE GEAUX TIGERS !!!
Not only does it enter, it accounts for 2/3 of the total BCS score. Having watched Florida play all year, I'm not so sure about that. The entire season, Florida has looked very vulnerable and often needed some lucky play/lucky breaks in order to win. See the S. Carolina game they should have lost, by all rights, if not for a holding penalty and blocked FG. Also see the bone-headed Arky punt returner who single-handedly killed their momentum and demolished what was becoming a great comeback in the SECCG. Again, I'm not so sure. The Big East media hype balloon definitely seems to have been deflated, and the Big 12 is nowhere near what it used to be. For the next few years, at least, the sports media will have to deal with LSU, Auburn, and Florida being serious NC contenders on a regular basis, so they'll have no choice but to give the SEC its due on the national level. Coupled with the growing public discontent with the BCS not just from the media and fans, but from coaches also, I think the SEC will be more of a big-time player during bowl season in the coming years.
To rebut the first argument, I would say that the long break benefits UF much more than OSU. Florida endured a long, ROUGH trek through the SEC. If anyone makes it through that schedule with only one loss, they HAVE to get some "lucky breaks". OSU, although I'm not saying there not worthy of their #1 ranking, did not play NEAR the schedule UF did. The long break will only serve to tighten them up. I predict they will not have a good first half. How they come back in the second half will determine the outcome. To rebut the second argument, you're talking about the Big East and Big 12 as though they are conferences that get a lot of respect. They are overrated, but I don't see them getting more respect than the SEC. I was talking about the Big 10 and the Pac 10, as well as ND. Those are the glamour programs I was talking about. The SEC is viewed as ALMOST as good as those two conferences, when, in my opinion, the SEC is heads and shoulders above both of them from top to bottom. Sure, a Pac 10 team or Big 10 team may be better than the best SEC team in a given year, but top to bottom, it's no contest. The SEC is the toughest conference.
Well you are where I would like to be , in the eye of the TIGER . Are the Tigers hungry?? This time last year there seemed to be a different feeling when I came into Tiger forums I hope the Tiger is ready. GEAUX TIGERS!!

LOL I hope the Tigers are ready for that great quarterback ND fans keep telling me about !An ple bpy lives next to me , he says LSU will not touch him he has a great line and he will pick the Tigers apart. I tell him if the ND line can give the quarterback 4 or 5 minuites maybe ND can stay in the game but I think LSU will be on the QB in 3 sec or less! I made him so mad he gave me LSU and 14 on a 100 dollar bet
