DECISION ON LSU-NORTH TEXAS GAME TO BE MADE WEDNESDAY
BATON ROUGE – LSU director of athletics Joe Alleva will announce on Wednesday where the Tigers’ football game against North Texas will be played on Saturday.
LSU officials continue to monitor the progress of Hurricane Ike. Contact has been made with Texas Stadium in Dallas, the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Independence Bowl Stadium in Shreveport and the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans as possible backup locations in the event the game cannot be played in Baton Rouge.

I heard earlier on WJBO that Martin was meeting with the Governors Office and East Baton Rouge Parrish officials to determine if BR could host the game. Its obvious the AD's office wants to play the game Saturday in Tiger Stadium but its not their call. Alleva may announce it but it wont be his decision.

Something to point out to all you out of towners. Normally I stay with friends and family in BR but because we were bringing a bunch of people this time, we got hotel rooms. Apparently there are so many Entergy workers in the hotels, they have no rooms. Jindal has ordered that they cannot be kicked out for arriving fans(totally understandable), so if you are depending on having a room when you show up - don't count on it.

I had to get rooms in Lafayette and even that was hard to find. Luckily our hotel called and informed us but I don't know if they all are doing that.

All the lights around campus are back up I think.

I go from Burbank/Bluebonnet to campus and everything along Nicholson and Burbank are good to go.

so...if my yellow pages advertising guy gives me tickets to the game and passes to their company's vip tailgate....

....does that mean he has a man crush on me and i'm supposed to invite him to dinner OR does he just want me to buy more advertising?

Man crush. Definitely. Most guys would expect a girl to put out if the gave them tickets to a LSU game AND VIP passes. The dating rules book says at least 2nd base. :D

Even Bluebonnet at Nicholson? That added nearly an hour to my commute this morning. Took me an hour and a half instead of 35 minutes.

From what you said though, Burbank @ Bluebonnet and Burbank @ Gardere are good to go!?
