You are right but a 50 minute rain delay broke the momemtum we had established. You know what a time out can do, but an hour in the locker room, wet and sweat and then back out to a partially filled stadium, and such a huge lead......... killer.
JR played a great 1st half. Surprised to see him in there that long in the 2nd half. Thought MF and RP would get a good number of snaps. I mean what more can JR do that the coaching staff needs to see more of. Probably the hardest challenge was to come out the 2nd half and play hard despite a 35-3 lead. State almost scored (17) as much as all of LSU's opponents combined score (20). On to the Swamp...
I agree... Exciting fast game at first, rain delay, long and slow game afterwards. And I was disappointed to see state get an offensive touchdown on us, even without the starters in (but then again, i guess that most normal defenses give up a few points here and there :wink
