Just received a text message from a friend at the game who said the UK mascot is a wearing a ref jersey. That might explain all the bad calls.

I would be surprised if we won the National Championship this year. Without Doucet, we have ZERO downfield passing game. Now that Hester's thigh is badly bruised, the offense can no longer rely on him to carry the team to victory. I hope that our other running backs can step up to fill the void.

Getting back to our passing game . . . what passing game? Kentucky's passing game is superior to ours. They have a better WR corps than LSU. And, yes, Matt Flynn's timing is off.

The Defense must win this game for LSU . . . and other games, as well, if we are to stay undefeated. The Offense is simply not good enough right now.

Again, all things considered, I would be very pleasantly surprised if we won the National Championship this year.

PS The whole darn SEC just keeps getting better! There aren't any easy games anymore against SEC schools!! :angryfire

Team statistics are usually inflated early in the season before leveling themselves out over the course of the year.

Our defense is certainly top 10, but by the end of the year, I don't think we'll still be #1 in every category.

You also have to give credit to Kentucky, too. Their offense is good as well.

Granted, teams will play up to #1 ranked teams but the as the season goes on they seem to be playing worse instead of better. I still think the Tigers will win today but, come on, look at the 1st half play.

Hell I am just glad those incompletes are not interceptions.

I do not recognize this team. Hmmmmmm.................maybe the airline lost them?

I am hoping my Tigers show up in the second half.

Well, Early is nearing his comeback, so that's a non issue. It's not like he JUST got hurt last week.

As for Hester, it's likely nothing more than a bruise--which would mean he may be limited this game and sore next week. Scott is proving he can fully handle the increased load.

For some reason the only passing play I like is the deep post to Tolliver. I think we can hit that if we try than another time or two.....

I think our running game has to win the game because it sure doesn't look like the defense will. CS is more than able to take over for Hester. I've been saying he should get more carries since last year. We could probably run for 400 yds if they would just do it!

It's been a very emotional first half of the season. I think the players need the bye week to get their legs back under them and rest up.

Problem is, we have one more week before the bye. It's a taxing time of the season right now. Great teams show their worth and get the "W"'s despite the conditions (i.e. despite "flat play").

Yeah we need to stretch the Defense more than just quick slant all the time.MF 5-14 for 28 yards. Need to see more RP and the option and yes let him Throw he does have an ARM.
