First, I apologize for infiltrating this board. It is not my intention to come here and spew a lot of hater crap. I just enjoy getting the opposing points of view leading up to and directly after a big game. (Yes, I posted on the Auburn boards even AFTER the game congratulating their team) That said... My entire family is from the Gulf Coast and are LSU fans, so I actually pull against them only when they play Florida. I didnt think we would lose the Auburn game, and was really hoping we would see a battle of undefeated SEC powerhouses this Saturday. The air in Gainesville is filled with cautious optimism and hopeful predictions (while under the surface, the REALISTIC fans all know who the better team is). Florida will have to play a flawless game to beat LSU. The last few games have seen the Gators commit well over 100 yards in stupid penalties. We knew it was going to be a rebuilding year with losing 9 starters from a defense that won the NC for us. But then when it seemed that we were still pretty tough...everyone started thinking repeat (like in basketball). We were brought back to reality by Auburn and we once again realize how young our boys really are. The Orlando Sentinel actually did a pre-season story on the fact that Florida is fielding the second youngest team in Div IA. Gator fans just sort of forgot that until this past weekend. Now I read that our only experienced DB (Tony Joiner) was arrested for opening the gate of an tow company's private parking lot to retrieve his girlfriends car. Sigh...more stupid mistakes resulting in costly penalties. OK - This has been too long already.....My Prediction ..... LSU - 35 UF - 24 I hope I am wrong....but thats my pick. Good luck LSU. Play hard. Fans, be loud, be hospitable, be the classy fans I have always said LSU fans are. Tiger Stadium and The Swamp are the two best (loudest) places in the country to play!!! Show my Gators how much fun it can be to experience being on the RECEIVING end of that kind of noise!!! GO GATORS!!!! ---DARTH GATOR PS - Students....Dont rush the field if you win....YOU'RE FAVORED TO WIN! ha ha ha
your first two sentences say a lot. stick around. as long as you are here to engage in good sports conversation and not smack, it's not considered infiltrating. an opposing pov is always interestig.
I am thinking a tough grind it out game that comes down to the end. Though I'd love nothing more than a blowout 17-14 LSU
I have to believe that the Tulane game was Miss St. redux offensively---take a slice of the playbook and stick to it during Miss St/Tulane week, practicing that in addition to practicing your full game-plan for the top 10 showdown the following week. I keep trying to see how a Matt Flynn who is as gimpy as he's been the past two weeks is a good start for LSU (still don't see it), but CLM history tells me start he will. Perhaps we see the S. Carolina and Va Tech blend of the two QBs, with Perrilloux getting progressively more time if Matt is still limited mobility-wise. Perhaps I'll be surprised (as I was w/ Va Tech) and CLM and GC will mix it up big time. To me, that means plenty of Perrilloux running--and throwing--out of shotgun or Pistol sets w/ KW and Trindon lined up w/ him. IF THIS HAPPENS: LSU 38, Florida 17 IF THIS DOES NOT: LSU 24, Florida 21 Imagining an LSU loss is as pleasant a thought to me as imagining my Momma dying, so therefore I never do either one.
this video was posted a couple years ago but here is the preview of the game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IM1oaGp8Qho
I think it was Tony's seafood that had an ad in the paper this morning: Gator sausage 5 for $6.99 and gator meat: $6.99/lb. Fire up the barbeque.
this is true. most of the comments in that facebook group resemble most of the comments here on that topic.
