Official LSU vs Florida Game Thread

24-13 Gators. It's probably going to rain again, our starting QB can't seem to get over his ankle injury, key wide receivers are out, and Florida will be looking to learn from its mistakes, exploit the weaknesses from the Tulane game, and hit us in the mouth. I see Tebow running all over us.

I wouldn't mind seeing security tackle the few kids who think rushing the field is a good idea.

Don't take it as a blanket statement. Sure, we might be making broad generalizing statements, but don't think all LSU kids are dumb.

 

I gotta agree. Tearing down the goal posts is reserved for major upsets, like UF in '97. If/when we beat Fla, not only won't it be a major upset, it won't be an upset at all because A: we're the No. 1 team in the nations and B: we're favored to win.

 

Not all students are classless and dumb. If they all were than practically everyone here (former LSU students) would be the same- I may throw bags of pee, but I make sure to not hit little kids or old people...How's that for classy? (pssst- Fla lurkers, I'm kidding)I just think that a lot of the younger students have no idea what it's like to be sitting in the stands and getting your azz whooped by Fla (or UAB), so they're spoiled in that sense.

Rushing the field was fun, but the year we did it twice was a bit much (Tenn and Bama). Plus, looking back, it does a lot of damage to the field and costs a lot of $$$- yup, I've turned into an adult who's obsessed with their grass (lawn grass, that is...I was obsessed with the other...uh, never mind). Plus, like you said, I'd rather not have to rush the field and just chalk up another expected W for the tigas.

I'm sure that there are a lot of older students who will inform the young pups that rushing the field isn’t going to happen. I cant open the facebook link, but I have a feeling that a lot of people have jumped on board to let them know this isn’t going to happen.


On a different note- I've been offered tickets to the game!!!!! Still not 100% sure if I can make it- but hopefully everything will work out and I'll be headed to BR on Friday.

my tix, on the other hand, are seriously phucked up. i will NEVER purchase tix on stub hub again.

short story, i was supposed to have them no later than mon cause i fly to br on thur. sure, no problem the seller assured stub hub. then, last week he assured them they would be over nighted on friday. yesterday morning he assured them it would be yesterday they would be overnighted. tix still have not been shipped and stub hub is letting him get away with excuse after excuse and i don't have my tix. the seller is either incompenent or a crook, and stub hub is not doing their job in making sure i get my tix.

bottom line, if anyone is thinking of using stub hub, DON'T! they may have honest sellers, but the ones that aren't they don't do anything about. even if i don't get tix and get my money back, i have non-refundable airline tix, not to mention my disappoinment and anger.

I've used them before and it worked out well both times. I'm always apprehensive that something might happen like what happened to you, but I guess that's a risk you take. Sorry you got screwed on that deal. Hopefully the trip is worth it. Eat some boudin and try brunch at the Chimes if you're there Sunday morning.
