Well let me just say, that sucked. Even Lou Holtz said he never seen anything like that and he been coaching for how many years? 40 or so? Also Brando, May, Buerline(sp), and the other guy announcing with Buerline all agreed that it was a horrible call. It's just dissapointing to see something like this happen to LSU when they gave all they had today to try and win this game. Yes, there where some mistakes. There was plays here and there where you wondered "what the hell?" But our LSU TIGERS played a hell of a game. Remember though, we still have 9 games to be played. Im looking to see the TIGERS in 11 more games. JR, Bowe, Davis, Dorsey all played amazing games IMO though. Thanks for listening and :geauxtige
I'm with ya, buddy. I have to have surgery this week and I'm more upset about how the officials screwed LSU than the surgery. If Auburn had beaten LSU legit, I'd be mad at the team. But there isn't a honest AU fan that can watch that and claim a legit victory. Oh wait...I think I just answered my own question. Our pastor isn an AU fan. He was at the game. I'm going to burn this game to DVD and give it to him and ask him to tell me if he can watch it and still think AU won it legitimately. I can name FOUR bad calls and I missed the entire first quarter and most of the third: 1) The fumble non-call in the second quarter before the (LOL) missed Vaughn field goal. I bet Vaughn was happy he didn't have to kick another FG! 2) The interference non-call just before halftime. The official that stood there and watched it needs to be audited by the IRS and also interrogated by the CIA in Guantanamo. 3) The interference call when LSU intercepted the ball. 4) The waved-off interference call. Now, follow my logic: If #3 above is interference when the ball was intercepted before it got to the AU player, then it stands to reason that #4 HAS to be an interference, right? They fit the same test...the ball was interrupted before it arrived at the reciever's hands. So, either #3 wasn't an interference (and therefore LSU's ball) and #4 wasn't interference OR #3 was interference (in which case the officials made the correct call...which would be surprising) and #4 was interference, too. LSU was robbed...I'm not whining. I'm stating a fact. The "Officials-screwed-LSU" game.
Enough said,we got SCREWED by the officials,it was obvious the whole game. This was supposed to be a fair game between 2 teams that could ply for the NC. I hope Tubbs chokes on this one because it wasn't like 5 missed field goals last year. This game was,"orchastrated" by the sorry officiating. I saw the entire game. From start to finish LSU got hosed. Anybody who thinks that it was a "fair" game needs to look at replays.
Not likely. Flynn is every bit the passer JR is, and he can run the ball. It would have given the LSU offense an entirely different look. IMO this is the biggest mistake Miles made in the game.
Break down of the game: RB = Justin Vincent will never be the running back he was when he was a freshman, Broussard did not even look like he wanted to run, the o-line can not make holes for the running backs QB = Strong arm but stupid decisions, if someone would tell jamarcus to throw the ball away instead of attempting to run it we would have save valuable time and also a down (JAMARCUS RUSSELL IS SLOW!!!) DEFENSE = if the offense could stay on the field a little longer the defense could play tough the whole game but when you are on the field 80% of the game you get tired COACHING = you get a big pass play for a first down and the although you only have 30 yards rushing for through 3 and a half quarters you run the ball on first and second down i think everyone can see that our playcalling stinks OFFICIALS = even though we didnt play as well as we should have we still would have won this game if not for the most pathetic officials i have ever watched (at least 6 missed calls including the obvious pass interference (and also even if it wasnt a pass interference, which it was, once it was called it is NOT a reviewable play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!))
