Remember Flynn before he became a starter, threw a few picks in the SECC against UGA... then won us a NC the following year. JJ will get better... you gotta have protection before you can think about throwing deep, let alone being accurate deep.

Not nec. saying it's you, but I people here should make up their minds.

In what is Jefferson's 5th game, we've heard how great he's been. How talented he is.

But now we're hearing (from the same people) that he can't read a defense. That he can't throw deep. That he can only do the short passes and that he's all of a sudden he's not even an SEC QB. :dis:

And did everyone miss the fact stated earlier in the telecast???? Jefferson IS THE YOUNGEST QB IN THE SEC!

We have 3 very skilled QB's on the roster....but NEWSFLASH! THEY ARE ALL FREAK'N YOUNG!!!! Thank RP for that. Had he not been the next coming of T.O., we would have had a revolving door at the QB position and ALL of our young QB's could have been developed over time and gradually taken over. But we are FORCED to "roll with the punches".

Defense looked ok, still giving up 3rd and longs.

Offense still has no identity... looks all out sorts and unorganized. The O-Line looks average and I think I am being kind.

JJ is lucky he didn't have 3 more picks, anything over 10 yards looks suspect. At least they are giving him a shot now, they need to keep letting him throw... defense is playing 8 in the box. The defensive coverage isn't going to get any easier than that. He's got to learn.

Jones looks good and TT still looks like the player on offense... other than that... mostly blahhh.

I agree. No down makes me more nervous than when our defense faces 3rd and long.

9, 10, 12 and 17 have all been 3rd and long scenerios that our opponents have converted this season (just to name a few)

The whole time you feel like the other team really has no problem staying on the field, it is better this week but it is the cajuns.

Defense is playing good football. O-line continues to be a problem and Jefferson missing some wide open deep guys has exposed a weakness. Also, penalties hurt a bit.

If I'm calling the plays, I keep going deep and let JJ figure it out as long as we're comfortably in control.

Only this one and one more to establish the deep ball c

:geaux: Hey Chief, not sayin' he's not capable, but right now he's not showing much confidence and not playing at the level LSU needs him to be playing at. Are you watching the game? Also, I haven't been a JJ basher in the past or now. Just stating what I'm watching. So far he's has looked terrible throwing deep and has only been able to throw short stuff. He's also lucky not to have two or three picks. Again, are you watching the same game I am? I am confident that Coach Crowton will get him dialed in at the half. He can play better than he's showing but right now he's not looking good. I just feel he should be farther along than what he's displaying so far. :LSU231:

I basically agree... win or lose they need to get better. Pass every single play if you have to.

Refresh my memory: What year was it where our Oline started off very similar to this year's in terms of appearing "lack luster" in their blocking??? It was recently....I just remember all of a sudden, they "clicked".

Well. Time for our OLine to "click"
