    This is LSU's first sweep against UCF this decade. Before this season, UCF went 1-2 in all three of the three-game series against the Tigers this decade.

    I didn't get to watch this one - but I imagine those middle innings were a bit - eh - tedious? 14-0 in the fourth? Holy crap!

    I'm interested to know what you guys think a weak link in this team might be. Because I haven't spied one yet.

    Soph. Austin Ross of Shreveport pitched for the first 6 innings today. He faced 20 batters and had 10 strike-outs, 0 walks, and only gave up 2 hits (0 runs).

    Soph. Leon Landry of Baton Rouge hit his 5th home run of the season today, a three-run home-run in the 1st. He also had a single and 1 stolen base on 1 attempt. After three innings, LSU was up by so much that Landry was replaced by second-string Mahtook.

    Junior Jared Mitchell of New Iberia hit his first two home runs of the season today, a three-run home run in the 1st and a two-run home run in the 3rd. He also had 1 stolen base on 1 attempt. After three innings, LSU was up by so much that Mitchell was replaced by second-string Pontiff.

    Mad props to Ochinko for his hitting this weekend -- for the season he's gotten himself up to a .429 batting average (#3 on the team), 12 hits (#2 on the team), and 9 RBI (#4 on the team).

    It looks like the freshmen have trouble stringing hits together when up 12-0. :)
