Our defense has progressed very well and there is LOTS of speed to go around this year. I honestly think we'll be able to hold them under 20 points.

Our offense is JUST coming alive. Granted, it will be VERY hard to pass on them, but Tennessee had a nice day on the ground against them and I think the O-Line and Scott have had just about enough of underachieving. CLM says it's always been ONE player or ONE miscommunication causing a play to break down and that they are really close to eliminating said mistakes. I saw that improvement in the UGA game. I say that Charlie runs for a lot and that JJ gets nice gains with his feet when the pass is covered.

I'll throw out a stupid prediction, just for the helluvit...Shep gets his first TD.

ANOTHER nailbiter. LSU by three or four.

No disrespect but I would be shocked if Florida was held to under 20 points even without Tebow. I agree it will be a nailbiter though. Neither team has come close to playing its potential. Both teams have looked subpar to me. Whichever executes wins. I think both have a chip on their shoulders. You guys want revenge from last year. We want a win in Tiger stadium. Home field will be a plus for you, but if Florida brings its A-game, they win. If they dont, they dont. But under 20, highly doubt it-if it was Bama I would consider it strongly. Good luck to y'all

Tennessee held the Gators to 23 points with a healthy Tebow, and I really believe LSU's defense is better than Tennessee's now that they have learned how to tackle. The question will be...can our offense garner enough production to keep the defense off the field? If we can find running room (I think that's our best shot) then I believe we can hold the Gator offense in check.

Don't know how to explain it but the UT V UF games over the last decade or so are an odd beast. I believe the game of the year for Tenn was "the" UF game. So much so Kiffin mentioned it upon hire. Notice he didn't mention any other team. UT PLAYED THEIR HEARTS OUT. UT hasn't played like that since and won't until next sept. In the swamp. Think what you want until the LSU V FLA rivalry gets to the same passion LSU will probably not top UT's efforts. This will be close but the only reason FLA may not score a lot is if a redshirt qb starts his first game in his college career in Baton Rouge on a Saturday night. Even with Brantley I believe the Gators have learned not to underestimate their opponents and will come playing as though they were underdogs with guns blazing. Look for this this to be Floridas best game so far. I'm hoping they will be intense. All the best and I could be wrong but Iam loyal to my Gators, ya know :)

This post is not towards our great UF posters here:

As most of us know I am sadly back to bartending and live in Orlando.

Now I can't vouch for the Tebows, I mean the Gators, but the fans are SCARED! Boy I was working last night and could barely get anything over the bar without a question baout our team and Saturday. I was beginning to think wearing the LSU short to work was a bad idea! But bottom line when each and every person was leaving, I was cordial and wished them luck on Saturday.

The response I got ranged from not you to I wish you and your team the worse luck you have ever seen in your life! WOW! A tab bit worried are we???

    Can't wait till Saturday!

Tennessee held Florida in check last year as well, heck Florida got more yards this year, and in the UT game Florida was missing its #1 WR and had its #1 RB and #1 TE (best overall target) sick with the flu. Finally, UT has Eric Berry, Eric Berry is the best defensive player I've ever seen at the college level.

Eric Berry's a beast, but you haven't seen Patrick Peterson play yet!

    LOL!

Seriously, though...this is not overconfidence, it's just plain ole hope. The LSU defense has improved by 500% since the first game of the season. They are all finally clicking with John Chavis's scheme and as I said already, are FINALLY tackling well.

Speaking of Chavis, you yourself said that Tennessee routinely (by comparison) has held UF in check enough to keep it close. Chavis was a big part of that and now has more overall talent (not just the ONE great safety) to work with. Combine that with a RS Frosh QB making his first career start in Death Valley and you've got trouble for your offense. It's kind of a perfect storm. The conditions all seem to be in LSU's favor for this one. :geaux:

Sunset is scheduled for 6:38pm, if CLM doesn't say otherwise, so it should be dark early in the 1st qrtr. Hopefully there'll be a nice sunset as the GBFTL takes the field, crowd should be off the chain by then. Seems like everyone is hyping things sufficiently so the crowd should be well lubricated by kick-off: GameDay, national CBS audience, Top 5 matchup, Death Valley.

I've got a feeling about this one. The gaters aren't what they were supposed to be, CUM is sacrificing a newbie QB to the most intense cfb environment imaginable, the Tigers are improving on a weekly basis. I think Chavis and Crowton have been saving a few wrinkles.

    What's not to like?:tigereye:
