Everyone outside of Louisiana was right. 1. Miles wins with Saban's players 2. LSU wins some games in spite of Miles' coaching. We must have had some TALENT last year for Miles to win a National Championship.
I think the last play of the game was a give up play and shows the mindset of the players and coaching staff. Yes, there was only :02 left in the game, but a field goal? I understand just throwing it up has little chance of success, but wouldn't a 63 yards FG into the howling wind have even LESS chance? Anyone remember the Bluegrass Miracle? At least give it a try.
no miles wins and won with a mixture of his and saban's players. as for number 2, that's completely unprovable and thus the statement should never be made.
Look at the Seniors this year. Undisciplined, Unprepared. These were the first group never having Saban as a Coach. I hate to say it, but it's time I face it - Miles is not a Div. 1 Coach. He's soft. He is not respected by anyone in the profession. Heck, even the ref's look at him as a goober. Seriously, Is anyone here going to the bowl game after seeing the last 3 games? Remember, if not for a "miracle" against Troy, we're going NOWHERE.
Coaching is not the problem this year. Lack of coaching is. Throw that in with the attitude some players have that they can simply show up and walk away with a win and you have a recipe for disaster. LSU is a disappointment this year from the very top to the very bottom. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year. I don't see that we have rebuilt anything at all. I've seen more tearing down than rebuilding. I see a team with no discipline at all with many players looking out for number 1. I see a lot of smack talk and mediocre play. I see many young and gifted players on the field not having a clue as to where they are supposed to be. I like Les Miles and I support him. However, Mike Archer had great talent here and he let it get away from him. If Les Miles does not put a strong foot down and start GETTING IN SOME PEOPLE'S FACES, he won't be here much longer. Success begins with discipline, and I just haven't seen that on a Les Miles coached team, including last year. I can't think of anyone I would rather have as our coach. I'm just ready to see Les get pissed off.
I missed the whole last quarter due to work. If anyone knows a way for me to see that, please post. I'm already sick but I just have to see it for myself. Thanks in advance.
