How in the he** do you lose a game like that?! I just don't get it. Up 30-14 and have them stopped on a frickin 4th and 29 deep in their own territory, then give them life?! Where is the discipline on this team? The playcalling absolutely sucked after we went up 30-14, then we can't run out the clock late in the game after getting a 4th down stop? I'm sorry, but this is pathetic. Arky was 4 and frickin 7 coming into this game without their best offensive player, and they still run over and through us, and a couple of second rate QB's absolutely pick apart our swiss cheese secondary. I still have to question the decision, fourth and one inside Arkansas 10 yard line and you kick the fg? With JJ at qb why not go for the first down? Am I wrong?
LSU has the ball with less thn three minutes to go and only needs a first down to run out the clock. They know they'll have to punt into the wind and know their secondary sucks. One forst down and the game is over. One first down with several OLs who will play in the NFL. One forst down with a stable of top RBs. ...and we, once again, couldn't get a first down against a very weak Arkansas defense! We're not even a top 50 team right now. This team doesn't deserve a bowl. I would like to think that the extra playing time afforded to bowl teams would help this team for next year. With these QBs, coaches, and DBs...I don't think so! We shoulld quite a few freshmen next year!
Lay this one squarely on the defense. I 've never seen such an undisciplined group EVER at LSU ! What was with the unsportsmanlike conduct penalties on the second to last drive.Poor defensive coaching. Mallory and Proveto really need to meet the press and own up to this one!!! Curly Hallman or Gerry Dinardo as defensive coordinator would be better... Anyone!!!! Jefferson looked good though.
There is a lot bad that can be said about the last 2 games. You guys are doing a good job, not much I can add that hasn't already be said. Miles has a lot of decisions to make. I hope he gets them right...
