I was debating watching this game or doing something else. But I don't think I could bring myself to deliberately NOT watch LSU. So I'm hoping that for once we can put together a decent game. A decent full game. I want to see a performance akin to what the Tigers displayed against BAMA, but this time with the good guys on top! I could actually be happy if we end up 9-4 with two excellent performances to finish out the season. 9-4 with all of the problems that we've had this season isn't too bad. BUT, LSU has to get a LOT better for the next two games for that to happen. 7-6 wouldn't make me too happy. I'm sure it wouldn't make many people happy.

My prediction: LSU finishes the season with 2 wins, Bama finishes the season with 2 losses, and Texas finishes with 2 crystals.

War Memorial isn't any worse than the stadiums at Ole Miss or Miss State, and it is a lot better than Vandy's stadium.

Also, it is bigger that the stadium that has the Independence Bowl!

It is also bigger than Texas Tech's stadium that Texas lost in this year and Oklahoma lost in last year...

It is bigger that Oregon State's Stadium that Southern Cal lost in this year and in 2006...

It is the same size of Colorado's stadium that Oklahoma lost in last year and Texas Tech lost in last year...

And it is the same size as Oregon's stadium that Southern Cal lost in last year and Oklahoma lost in the year before that.

Heck, the legendary Soldier Field in Chicago is not much bigger.

Don't be hating on War Memorial! You know those Arkansas freaks would love to beat our ass, and by putting the game in the stadium centrally located in their state, they pack every rabid Arkansas hick into that place.

Ain't no joke having to face the Razorbacks in War Memorial.

Eh? Having seen both stadiums in person, I'd say that's an inaccurate statement.

One has a capacity of 61,500 and the other has a capacity of 53,000.

Comparing War Memorial to Soldier Field is like comparing Tad Gormley to the Superdome.

That's a fair assesment. It looks like the stadium of one of the better high school programs, inside and out. It's just not an impressive structure. Why does Arkansas play half of their season there? From what I hear, they have a rather impressive stadium on campus. That said, though, the Arky fans do pack War Memorial.

Tad Gormley has a capacity of 26,500 (LINK), while the Superdome has a capacity of 72,968 (LINK).

War Memorial has a capacity of 53,727 (LINK), while Soldier Field has a capacity of 61,500 (LINK).

I'm going to go out on a limb here and claim that you failed out of school before they were able to even teach you basic math.

I wasn't talking in terms of capacity, but rather as overall structures. Don't get your skivvies in a knot.

    Clearly you're a well-educated fellow.

Have you ever seen both stadiums in person? Soldier Field was impressive before, but is now even bigger, better, and modernized (since they refurbished it a couple of years back). The pictures do not do it justice in terms of presentation and in size; it's bigger than what the images portray. The quality and size of Soldier Field far exceed War Memorial.

War Memorial borders on dilapidation. To say that it is not very aesthetically pleasing would be giving it more credit than it deserves. It's an out-of-date facility and I would be embarrased if my team called that place home for the better part of the season. As stated previously, it's comprable to a high school stadium. It seats 53,000, yes, but it's a small 53,000. Have you seen this thing with your own eyes? When I first saw it, I was shocked at how small it really was.

To say that Soldier Field is "not much bigger" than War Memorial would not be fair.

Stop being so sensitive. I'm offering a different perspective and opinion, not critiquing you.

Blah, Blah, Blah. Regarding the "bordering on dilapidation" thing, the "it is not very aesthetically pleasing" thing, the "out-of-date" thing, and the "embarrased" thing, I've see people saying the exact same thing trashing Tiger Stadium, even from Saints fans.

please refrain from derailing the game thread with this back and forth bickering about the stadium.
