Have you ever heard of such a rule? I pride myself on my knowledge of college football rules, but that makes two extra point rules this year I did not know about! The other was the one that screwed LSU in the Auburnt game. The announcers are saying that the refs screwed up. Can they take the point off the board? PLEEEEEEEEEZE! Gig 'em!
Well i do know that they can't take the point off once its been scored a point. As far as that rule, I have never heard of it, but what they are talking about it the Ags had possession, then let it go into the end zone and recovered it. I believe a safety is 1 point on a conversion if its against the defense. Who knows, I imagine its under NCAA Rule 448.85324543 version b
Texas had a botched extra point, that went into the end zone, and was recovered by the aggies. The referees ruled a 1 point safety because they said the aggies had possession before it crossed the goal line.

The short horn holder never got the ball spotted, but the kicker kicked away anyway. It went right into the line along the ground, then was recovered by the Aggies in the end zone. And the refs awarded one point to the teasippers!
