yea but Southern is playing pretty smart... if they could find an answer for williams down low they could be in position here... al we can ask for is a physical game to wear them down a bit..

If Southern can just figure out how to hit a three-pointer... They are 0-7 from behind the arc.

I was a little more worried about getting past the first round. now that we have that monkey off of our backs I feel a little bit better, but you're right. All I know is that if we play the way we did in the second half for the rest of the tourney, we will be pretty damn close in all of our games, if not out-right blowing past teams..

how bout iona's D. i didnt see zone.

LSU actually showed zone in 2nd half. slowed down the penetration and they werent hitting 3s.

glad to see us attack the press (successful or not).

    liked lazare, rolle and temple.

still wish tm would assert himself more on O

We beat a senior-laden Iona team that was fired up and ready to play against our young LSU men's basketball team.

Give Iona some credit . . . they did NOT seem to make many mistakes to me. The Tigers had to EARN the win in the second half, because the Gaels were NOT giving anything away.

The fact that LSU pulled away at the end shows me that our young players proved that they have the guts and toughness to beat older and more experienced players . . . and the Tigers will need this kind of character to go deep in this Tourney.

I'm proud to say that my team fulfilled my motto tonight . . .

FIGHT LIKE HELL WITH THE HEART OF A TIGER !!

    . . . . and Bauburn can suck it . . .
