I beg to differ. :hihi: Aside from the obvious, a USC loss wouldn't have effected us had Ark. won. Had USC and Florida both won, we may be in the same position.
If USC and Florida won we still should have played Michigan in the Rose. Florida would never have jumped USC in the polls which would have put the in the Sugar. The Sugar gets the rights to the SEC champs by default which would have still put LSU in the Rose with Michigan. I Think:lol:
Actually, not exactly the same. I prefer our position with the USC loss and being ranked higher and them having dropped. We may be Sugar Bowl bound instead of Rose Bowl, which to some is not as good, but to me- either is great. Had USC won we may be headed to the Rose Bowl and them headed to the NC. I worry about LSU first but if we can't play in the NC game then any BCS is a great accomplishment. If in the process, USC gets a blemish and cracks in the armor appear, that can help LSU a lot with McKnight, Tolliver, next year's pre-season ranking, etc. (I just posted in another thread, "One game at a time" but you're going to make me say that next year I see LSU/ USC in the NC game and we'll settle that score we all want to settle). I may be wrong about my analysis of our situation....... islstl is the guru, but if my understanding is correct that's what I was looking at. I'm not 100% positive that's why I said, "We may be in the same position". I left myself a little wiggle room. :hihi: :thumb:
