Lost in your facts of a piss poor coaching job was that we beat a very good bball team tonight. They went into a 2-3 zone that collapsed inside on our big men. Great strategy on their part. So what should we have done, jack up 3's with a lead.

The announcers were saying as Bass went down the court we had no timeouts left. Anyone know for sure if we even had a timeout?

We held their big three scorers Winston, Davis and Shelton to 13 of 35 shooting for the night.

Huge win for this program and a great night for Tack.

I am also sure we would have heard how piss poor it was to have Neltner in the game instead of Davis if we would have lost. How many were thinking that?

ummm... yeah I was there - as I said I know for sure 2 timeouts, maybe 3. Let's think about this - we DID jack up 3's w/a lead. Re-read my post

I graduated from LSU in journalism. I am tired of sportswriters thinking that people give a rats a$$ about them ... they are not the story, the athletes are. Good print sportswriters still exist and do a great job. Guys like Jim "Don't Call me Chris" Rome and the talking heads on PTI, the Sports Reporters, etc., think that the average Joe Six Pack fan really gives a flying F whether some athlete "disses" them or not. Barry Bonds is a great player, perhaps the greatest of all time. I would love for my baseball-playing 13 y.o. son to meet Mr Bonds and get his autograph and get some tips on batting. I wouldn't walk across the street to spit on Jim Rome if he was "on fire." I'm not against true professionals in the media. The true pro's focus on the athletes and don't make themselves the story. These clowns on TV babble on like they're discussing freakin' world peace or solving world hunger, it's a freakin' kid's game.

    Game recap (ESPN.com)

Tide Denied Chance to Clinch SEC West

    Excerpt:
An amazing fact, given the fact the PMAC never comes close to selling out these days.

BTW, official attendance was 11,339 (see Box Score on ESPN.com). Whoever said that it was reported on the news, I believe, that it was around 9,000 is a bit off, to say the least.

11.339 was paid - the 9,000 something was actual attendance - definately the loudest all year

B/C one of the ESPN writers referred to him as that in an article last week - I'm sure he meant Big Baby (shows the writer really did his homework)
