This is a good post IMO. He hit the nail on the head.

davis did a great job rebounding the ball last night, but if rolle plays 39 minutes too he gets more boards than glen.

btw, LSU lost by 10. LSU wouldnt have been given 2 losses for playing without glen pushing the tempo.

You're right. Rolle should start ahead of Davis.

Rolle ... 67 rebounds in 239 minutes. .28 rebounds per minute played.
Davis ... 147 rebounds in 482 minutes. .30 rebounds per minute played.

Looks like Rolle would be just a shade worse than a "fair" rebounder.

easy to get rebounds during cleanup work against the likes of Tulane and such. Your point is not close to being valid or at the least bit comparing apples to apples.

I suspect you have no clue what my point is, unless you've been following my conversations with gumborue the last few days.

    from last night i had,

    davis--39 min, 17 reb

    rolle---11 min, 5 reb

    39/11=3.54x5= 17.7 reb for rolle.

    kenpom.com does a breakdown of #s/poss.

davis off reb 13.1 (good for # 98 in country), def reb 20.7 (123)

    rolle off reb 14.0 (64), def reb 17.4 (335)

the #s dont count last nights game.

perimeter shooting is always a problem with Brady's teams while defense and rebounding are always strengths. Been like that since day 1 it seems. But you cant say they had open looks then complain they need to look for better looks.

open looks are open looks and they often dont fall with this team. I think Mason missed 6 layups vs UCONN and the streak continued last night with at least 3. I just dont understand how that happens.

I must give magnum his due vs UCONN and even last night. He's shown flashes on both ends blocking shots and good low post moves when he got the ball in the paint. He's still uncoordinated looking unlike lazarre who seems he could be dominant with a little more confidence. that little running hook from about 6 feet was impressive.

i think taz has to take over and be the leader on offense while tack has to develop into a PG so temple can get back to being himself. taz is simply so talented in every aspect Id love to see him force the issue a lot more. he has a pure shot and great instincts. though I think the basketball IQ of this team is not very good currently. as the year goes on, they will play much more like a team but you can bet its still going to be like watching a rugby match on offense. always is. they just need to find an indentity besides glen davis. i think that guy has to be taz but an in-control tack seems to be a must as well. Not sure if thats gonna happen. can dj augustin transfer quickly?

youre preaching to the choir there:hihi: , but id counter with last nights game. rolle didnt get his rebounds in cleanup time or against miss valley.

i know, i know, its just one game. but the same thing held for the uconn game. again, good opponent. extrapolate rolle's 21 min to glen's 30 and rolle gets more reb.
