Overall a nice win...If we can keep it up I see 3 maybe 4 wins to finish the season. A nice 2 -3 wins in the SEC tourney and looks like we can round out a nice season.
Duke student fans are REALLY smart...In this week's Sports Illustrated, it talked about how Cameron's Crazies-as they're known-were duped into starting a chant by a Maryland fan during the game... Seems that someone leaked out that a Maryland player's girlfriend's name was Myra, and that her pet name for him was Piggie...So they started a push to get this chant going, and it actually worked... The Duke students were yelling, "Myra Piggy"...Not realizing Maryland fans had actually tricked them into yelling, "Myron Piggie"...The notorious AAU Coach who paid Duke players like Cory Maggette... Yeah...we've got a lot to learn...so it seems you do.... Oh, and spare us with your pithy, caustic comeback about Denham Springs, Livingston Parish, and all the other fresh resets you're bound to be scanning your Mad Libs and old jokebooks for...We don't need it... We're all stocked up here...
Just getting in from the game. Yet another enjoyable home game this year! Nothing like seeing Aubarn take a beating like that! Neltner and Lazare are finally coming around again, as they did towards the end of last year. Also getting some quality minutes uut of Whipple.
What was up with neltner he only played a couple minutes I accually think Wolfert played more than him. Maybe he had too good of a time during Mardi Gras! Lazare had a good game probably his best of the season!
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Lump again. The guy's probably paying 40k per year to camp out in front of the Coach K arena with his dungeons and dragons buddies and he can't contribute $12 to TF???
Ha, you proved my point...fair weather fan. To you, a team is only worthy of support if they are successfull....I'm talking about a top 5 ranked team getting cheered off the court after getting beat by 10 at home to an unranked opponent, and you're talking about "if they win, we would support them". See the contrast? I have been an LSU fan all my life, I know how fickle LSU fans are. Even when LSU basketball was good, there was booing, complaining, etc. One bad game and everyone would be calling coaches/players/etc out. Same thing in football...even when they are good, one loss and people are pointing fingers, fans are booing, etc....heck, one bad quarter, one bad play, and there is booing. I was as guilty as anyone, and maybe I just didn't know any other way until I got here. That is what I am talking about...unconditional support for the team...not sellouts. Listen to some of the comments here...LSU was up by 16, and people were still complaining...it's as if some think that the LSU basketball program was put on this earth just to piss them off and break their hearts. There are plenty of highly ranked teams that don't enjoy the kind of support from the university community that Duke does...in fact, I would say very few if any do. The fact is, Cameron would be sold out and full of crazies even if they weren't ranked. no, football isn't big here, but I bet they don't boo their own team.
