Yea it would make life easier but if AU loses today we should move ahead of them in the BCS so either way it should work out for us. Now it's time for istsl to come into this thread and mention how we are all dreaming because we will never win the the SEC with Miles and Russell.
listen to me clearly: If arky and auburn both lose today, and we win out... we go... this is according to Les Miles. I'd think he'd be informed on the subject
Listen to me clearly: This is not gauranteed. We "could" go if it happens like this. It has already been determined that in this situation we go to the final tiebreaker which is BCS rankings. By rule, we would have to be 5 PLACES ahaed of AU to avoid using h2h again. How in the world would Les Miles know how far ahead of AU we would finish?
It's not quite that simple. If Auburn loses to Georgia and not Alabama, it would end up coming down to BCS ranking. However, if we are the highest ranked of the three teams in the BCS, we would need Arkansas to be second highest. If Auburn is the second highest, then we would have to be 5 spots ahead of them (highly unlikely). Basically, we need Alabama to beat Auburn.
