I know it's a little early for 2016 recruiting class but any word on where LSU is at on Shea Pattersons list? I know he's a baseball player too I'm kind of wondering if that might help out with LSU's recruiting him for football.

Three of Louisiana's best schedule LSU official
    4 hours ago
The month of January is always a busy one for college coaches and prospects as there are only a few weeks left before National Signing Day.

LSU will be hosting some big official visitors during that time but perhaps no weekend will be bigger than Jan. 23-25 when three of Louisiana’s top prospects will make their official visit to LSU in Tyron Johnson, Donte Jackson and Xavier Lewis.

Lewis, who is committed to the Tigers, confirmed with Geaux247 that they are all slated to be in on that weekend.

The trio was slated to take that official visit last weekend, but due to some schedule conflicts with Johnson and Jackson all parties decided to move the trip back.

Johnson and Jackson still made an unofficial visit to LSU and spent a few hours on campus last Saturday.

The threesome of Lewis, Johnson and Jackson all have a good relationship from their time of going to camps and playing 7-on-7 ball together, and Lewis is being counted on to help recruit the other two.

Lewis committed to the Tigers for the second time back in July and he is the No. 20 cornerback and No. 155 prospect overall in the 247Sports Composite. He is also No. 6 in the Bayou State and is looking to possibly visit Texas officially in January as well.

Johnson is ranked No. 1 in Louisiana and is also the state’s only five-star prospect, ranked the No. 2 receiver and No. 21 overall in the 247Sports Composite.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder has already visited Texas Tech officially and no other officials are currently set up. Along with LSU and Texas Tech, Auburn, Georgia and Oklahoma State make up his top five.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball for Johnson currently has LSU leading with 75 percent of the picks followed by Texas Tech and Oklahoma State, each with 11 percent. No other officials have been set for Johnson as of this time.

While Johnson is pretty wide open right now, it’s been a two team race for Jackson between LSU and Georgia for some time now.

Georgia, who will get an official in January, has an 11 pick to 8 advantage over LSU in Jackson’s crystal ball but over the last two days two more picks were made for Jackson.

Jackson, who will play in the U.S. Army All-America Bowl in January, is the No. 7 athlete in the country and is No. 103 overall in the 247Sports Composite.

LSU is recruiting the 5-foot-11, 175-pounder as a cornerback and return man on special teams, and he is the No. 3-ranked prospect overall in Louisiana.

Just saw a Twitter post that LSU OL commit Matt Womack has flipped to Bama. Is this a huge loss for us?

The big loss will be draft time. Hawk, Alexander are a couple that would help to stay for another year, much like La'el did this year. We are still in for a few more OL, an still a ways till signing day.

The flip to us was a good one with George Brown, he was the first offered by Grimes when he took the LSU job.

Fournette and Donte Jackson showing support for Tyron Johnson
    Dec 13, 4:44 PM
It’s no secret that five-star receiver Tyron Johnson is one of LSU’s biggest priorities for the 2015 class.

On Saturday, Johnson and his Warren Easton squad played for the LHSAA Class 4A State Championship, and LSU running back Leonard Fournette was back in his hometown supporting the Tigers’ top target, along with another huge Tiger recruit Donte Jackson.

Fournette and Jackson have a close relationship where Jackson has even gone up to Baton Rouge just to hang out with the Tigers’ top running back.

Jackson and Johnson also have a strong relationship and the two have talked about playing their college ball together.

Jackson, who will play in the U.S. Army All-America Bowl in January, is the No. 7 athlete in the country and is No. 103 overall in the 247Sports Composite. It’s a two team race for his services between LSU and Georgia with the Bulldogs holding an 11-8 advantage in the crystal ball

The 6-foot-6, 245-pound Jackson had been committed to the Vols since January but recently had continued exploring other options. He went on official visits to Stanford in September and LSU in October.

Jackson is ranked the nation's No. 31 strongside defensive end and the No. 17 overall prospect from the state of Tennessee in the 247Sports Composite for the 2015 class.
