A really good t.e. could make this offense go... Would open up the intermediate routes for can'tguardmike, ak41 and the other receivers... I wonder if we're looking at anybody (can't find the sarcasm font)... Who Dat. ..

Saints let Tyler Davison go; he signs with the Dirty Birds. Bad mistake, IMO. Very underappreciated player.

Early words on the 2019 schedule. We'll open hosting the Texans in the early game of the MNF double header. At Rams for week 2, late afternoon game. Host Dallas on Sunday night in week 4. At Atlanta in prime time on Thanksgiving.

Ian Rappaport says the Saints have picked up Sheldon Rankins' 5th year option, and with guaranteed money. Considering he probably won't be available for a good portion of the season, that's a good sign they think he'll recover, and that he's in their long term plans.

Any ideas on why we drafted 2 safetys? Bell and Williams are both solid, above average performers, and Banjo is decent although he normally plays in garbage time so not sure if we've seen a true representation of his skills, except on ST. Maybe it's for depth, but there's no way we carry 5 safetys on the final roster. I guess Gardner-Johnson could play CB in nickel/dime packages. I just thought it was odd to draft 2 when it wasn't really a position of need in the first place.

Didn't recognize a single name we brought in as a UFA. I was watching one, the Jean Pierre kid from Nicholls. WR that runs a 4.3. So naturally he signed with Carolina and we got some slow dude from Texas.
