I won't score any points but I just have to say that any suggestion that Auburn coaches are teaching kids to make illegal or even borderline blocks is pure BS. The incidents being discussed were unfortunate but no team is without personal fouls or illegal blocks. Some just seem to want to hang on to such incidents and incite bad feelings.

Not to pick on you here Red but your post is a clear example of not having the real story in the Ramsey case. I have been in Auburn all week and been to practices. Tubs knows very well what is going on with Ramsey. I have stood right besides Tubs at practice while the Ramsey situation was being discussed so I know first hand. The Ramsey situation is a personal issue and Tubs knows the media would splash it everywhere if he told them. So he is just being coy.

Changing the subject, I sincerely hope things are improving for everyone in BR who has been affected by the hurricane.

If you read my posts you'll notice I stated specifically that I didn't think that the chop blocking was intentional. But if you think that Auburns numerous illegal, dangerous chop blocking incidents are just "unfortunate" and "no team is without" it . . . then you are burying your head in the sand. Hey, its your team and your reputation, but I'd think Auburn's coaches would be wanting to fix this, not make excuses for it. Victims do not forget this distasteful business and Auburn is learning it the hard way, like Miami did.

I quoted Tuberville directly. The article said Ramsey was NOT attending practices and that Tuberville stated "nobody's told me anything".

It's a fine line between being "coy" and simply lying to the media. He could have said it's a personal issue, Ramsey's going nowhere, and dropped it. But he didn't. :dis:
