Davenport made a 2.65 GPA and a composite score of 64 on his ACT. According to the sliding scale he needs a 63 composite on the ACT to be qualified. Close call...

FYI: After working with a private trainer and doing Moffit's program he is down to 295 from 340.

Also, Shep as of today is at 205.

:geaux: Great news on Davenport and thanks. Is there ANY good news on Loston at this point? I really hate to think about the possibility of him not qualifying this year. :LSU231:

People are freaking out because there is no news from anyone on this front. He has the ACT score needed and is currently taking his correspondence classes. So he will not be in the clear until he completes these courses. If he does not do well in those courses he would have all summer to take them over if need be.

So technically he is not qualified because his final grades from these courses are not in yet and I am not sure when they are expected to be completed. That is why there is no news because there is nothing to report until completed.

    No problem.

I wonder if he is going to have some clearing house issue though. Correspondence classes always seem like an issue to some extent. Plus, his transcripts are likely to be turned in closer to the deadline.

Just to add.. correspondence courses are not very difficult. He's got 2 shots at passing the ones he needs. I think it's safe to assume he'll be here by the fall. He might not be on campus in June.. but I would be stunned if he was not enrolled by the fall.

I was including this current semester as one of those 2 chances.. just to clarify. It was just emphasizing what you were saying.. if he doesn't get in by June he'll be in during the fall.

:geaux: Thanks for the previous update bhelm and you're absolutely right about the clearing house. They seem to be the fly in the ointment for at least one LSU recruit each year it seems. And it's usually a big time recruit like Loston. Guess we'll just have to wait and see and hope all the course information is completed and turned in with enough time to be processed. Again, apprceciate the updates and keep 'em comin'.:thumb: :LSU231:
