    It is unconscionable for any coach, any sport, to call out a non-professionable player in public.

    Agreed, and while it's not as bad if the player is a pro, there's even an unwritten rule that says you don't do that either.

    Yeah, I don't disagree with you. Just offering a different slant. He needs to get smoother about this issue, for sure, especially when feeling the pressure from disappointing games or situations.

    I remember back in the days when Bear Bryant was Bama's coach. He always praised his players and coaches when they won and he always took the blame for the losses. Seems like a good idea to me.
