I must say that I'm mildly surprised with the hype that Bama is getting nationally after tonight's win. It is great to know that LSU ultimately is in control of its own destiny still. This off week before UF is going to be a huge help. Also, UF will fortunately be taking out its frustrations on a terrible Arky team next week.

Back to the topic at hand though. Who here really thought that Georgia was deserving of it's high pre-season rankings? I am shocked at how Bama poured it on Georgia, but it's not shocking that they were victorious. Georgia did not exactly dominate a team that had previously lost to UNLV. Previously, UGA had barely beaten a USC team that lost to Vandy.

As far as I am concerned, Bama is fool's gold. Fortunately for LSU, that fool's gold is actually worth something. It can be turned into a high profit, ie votes and rankings, with a win in several weeks over Bama.

If, of course, both LSU & Bama continue to run tally up the W's in the meantime.

I should search for my post, but I do remember saying UGA wasnt as good as the hype. No way they were #1 or even 3 nope I dont care HOW they were playing at the end of the yr last yr. this ONE or Two game RUN that makes the media foam at the mouth is bizzarre. they sure jumped off the UGA band wagon and right onto the Bama wagon quick. never trust the media lol

true, LSU was in total control tonight.

The 10 points we spotted them in the first half allowed the score to be much closer than it actually was.

I just know the facts about our team that will be very hard to avoid going down the SEC road. Depth and Youth. The youth factor will hopefully take care of itself with the passing of each game but the depth will not. Crossing fingers and hoping to the Good Lord above that the injury bug doesn't visit.

thats just because we run a crappy poll system. they beat decent teams in cu and uga, but to keep them lower than they are you have to find better resumes, and most teams are choking right now. the stars will align, it just takes some time. until that happens thye should probably be a top ten team.

Oh, come on, and it took a Bama fan to set you straight on this in the next post. Let's not get over-zealous. The greatest coach in the country is on our sideline in Baton Rouge, and we are now firmly in control of our destiny.

Saban is a dahm good coach but there are alot of great coaches, you ever hear of Les Miles?

bama isnt the best team in the country until they win the BCS NC.

there is no trophy for playing the "best football" at some arbitrary point in your schedule. if that were so, the media would have just handed the :crystal: to UGA at the end of last yr because they "deemed" in their infinite ( or lack there of ) wisdom that UGA was superior. :rolleye33:

It'll happen. But what the hell, I think I'd rather see them come into Tiger stadium ranked higher quite frankly.:tigereye:
