Well at least Bochy has enough sense to go with Meredith as his first guy out of the pen.....I am shocked.
you are correct and if you listen closely to the talking blowhards about his upcoming matchup, you will see which side of the moneyball ledger they stand. im still way more impressed with the marlins than the a's. they have 2 world series champs. and the a's zero in that time period. and the astros have zero ever yet spent about 10x the money as the marlins in the same period. not sure i could deal with gutting the team so often however. astros have been the highest paid team in the NL the last few years or right at the top. clemens needs to lay off the HGH and just retire before they learn to test for it. he is another bonds case that people dont wanna have to face.
mike cameron is gonna have to win this one. cy young weaver pulled after 5 with that pen? pod-squad has a chance.
Bruce Bochy will be fired within 3 days after this series is over. His team is facing the worst pitching staff the playoffs have to offer, yet his team has garnered 1 lonely run in 18 innings. Dude should have had Walker playing 3rd base both games, with Barfield at 2B, to give him best chance at scoring runs. Branyan should not even have made the roster, much less starting a game. Hensley is his best pitcher, by far, since the All-star break, yet cannot find his way into the 4 man rotation. That tells you all you need to know about Bochy. He was also the worst catcher in the history of the game when he was an Astro. Remember when he got bowled over by Pete Rose in what would have been a huge out in that 1980 classic series with the Phillies? But he dropped the ball cuz he was a big for nothing fat ass.
Pujols stats for the post season projects out to 45 homers, 130 RBIs, and has a BA around .350....dude is going to be the best player ever barring injuries....hell even this season he spotted the rest of MLB 15 games and put up his best numbers ever, production wise I think he'll get the MVP because of that big homer he hit against San Diego the last week of the season. Howard kinda teetered out there the last 10 days when the Phillies needed him most (mostly due to the fact they wouldn't pitch to him). He'll have to learn how to deal with that and still be an effective and productive hitter.
What do you call it when a Dodger starting pitcher keeps the hard hitting Mets at bay? The status Kuo.
touche' why the hell u aint at the games? u should have somebody tied up in your basement right now and using their tickets....desperate times call for it
i entered the ticket lottery and lost. they didnt even let people camp out for tickets. i didnt even try to buy from a scalper, i figured it could be hundreds more than i have. s'ok though, my tv is nice. i still could win the lottery for the WS.
