Zumaya made Yankee hitters look like a AAA team....I didn't think that was possible

He is the most dominating pitcher I have seen this year.

Jones pitching well but will still be lucky to get away with a save. Still a dumb move to put him in. He may very well get away with it however.

The key is for Jeter to get up to the plate. If that happens, we all know the outcome. 2 run double down the line. Bye bye Tigers.

We got us a series people. Wow!

Verlander pitched with lots of moxy today. He limited the damages, which is all you can do against this Yankee lineup.

Unfortunately for them they must finish it off in Detroit. Robertson vs. Wang in game 5 is a mismatch heavily in the Yanks favor.

Rogers will give up 10 runs in the first 3 innings, if they leave him in tomorrow nite.

The score could be 10-8 after 3 innings....

im pulling for verlander even though he cant get the W. was pretty shady since ive never seen a game called on the threat of rain. yanks knew if moose threw 3 last night he was done so it got pushed it back.

yeah i saw zumaya pitch this year when he threw 2 or 3 consecutive pitches which registered 104. verlander threw over 100 that one game his first pitch and also with his last in 9 innings. nice arms and they acquired miller in the draft....guess you can never have enough but they're loaded.

im all for the spikes leyland still wears and hes my favorite manager but he refuses to use a computer. i suggest he hire someone for stats to save him time. guess hes doing ok without it.

Yeah he is too old fashioned for me, a product of 70s/80s baseball.

Verlander constantly was getting 100 and 101 today.

I agree last nite was shady. I love the spin control they had on it.

What's the over/under on scoring tomorrow nite? I say 21.

This just in. The Padres and Bruce Bochy are both chokers and losers.

The Cardinals are clearly the worst team in the playoffs and yet the Padres are failing to expose their extreme inadequacies.

I guess the Mets will have to embarrass them instead. LaRussa is still a joke of a manager.

Edmonds is batting 6th in the lineup even though his career avg. is .314 with 3 homers vs. Boomer.

LaRussa jacks off to lefty/lefty situation at night. I truly believe that.

was he really? didnt get to catch it. so effortless. ive seen the kid miller pitch in college and he was mlb ready against lefties then if needed. think randy johnson at 19 with better location. thank god.

over/under will be set around 9 1/2, so if you want to make a fortune, there ya go.

very unsettling to see bochy bang his head on the wall continually pitching to pooholes. didnt he learn anything last year? guess not.

ive always said larussa is the most overrated mgr in history. scrapheap corrected me and said but great in regular season. pretty accurate but hes almost always had most of the talent wherever hes been.

it was nuts, verlander is tossing 101, and i am amazed, then zumaya comes in tossing 103. man, detroit has an army of fireballers.

i think verlander was drafted right before the rice guy, the met, philip humber, i hope he recovers from thomas john and and is 3/4 the destroyer verlander is.
