No in fact that's his best quality. He knows he's supposed to be the CEO. CEO is the CEO oddly enough. Needs to hire top-flight coordinators and stay the f out the way. Worked well with Les when Les did the latter part. O can motivate and recruit as needed. Hopefully he gets the nonsense in check from the players. You know the ones running their months before bama and starting fights then getting their asses kicked vs Florida. That's one thing people took for granted with Les. Players would rarely test him. O being their friend instead of coach has already surfaced on multiple occasions. That shit needs to stop. LSU is not Miami. Let the play do the talking. But yes every coach needs elite coordinators. It's just we point it out with O but so did Les and so did Saban. Fake it til you make it. O knows he will lean heavily on his coordinators. And replace them with the best available. His low salary allows that. All that is a good thing.
There will be a lot of candidates . The biggest improvement won't simply be a 'genius' OC. It will be an overall philosophy from the top down that quarterbacks that fit system will be recruited AND developed. What Elmer 'Purdue' did to this offense was borderline grounds for legal action on the basis of incompetence. Regardless, I'm still dancing because Peveto's sorry ass got shit canned.
You seem to be looking for drama. Let it go dude. How can you possibly be anymore disappointed right now then this time last season? It is what it is and your snakebit rejection won't make it any different. Let it unfold and judge accordingly. Really is the only way to get through the next season. So far, outside our very own administration, this thing is stepping up and folks are actually happy to see that.
oh so everything is great and championships abound. Good to know. Can't wait to see Atlanta next year.
Which is just my point. I didn't say that nor imply as such. All I said is watch it go and judge accordingly. Your attitude is that of a child that wanted an x-box and got an Atari, but in reality, what you got was a game you have yet to play. If you are gonna be bitter, be bitter about the results and not the untold future.
You can laugh all you want here, but here's the deal. Org has already been turned down by Sark. I heard that from two different people I know both of whom are as well connected to things at UA as anyone sans Saban and Sark. I'm told there's more than one reason (part of it being his rehab) he turned down the opportunity. Perhaps, this hatred you speak of is one sided? And I'm being told it's just the opposite.
That's not exactly true. He was extended about 3/4 of a year (through Feb of '18) in the middle of this summer. It was right after Kiffin received his last check from USC. He did receive a raise pushing him to about 1.5mm this last year. @tirk That's one of the reasons I read your earlier post skeptically when you suggested (as I recall) LSU would/could double his money. Please, paying a OC 3mm per? There's no "understood he's leaving" at all. If you recall, there were more than a handful saying last year was his last—we see where that ended up.
I don't care how well connected. I just don't believe it. Connections at UA are not connections at LSU. It would be typical of Sardrunkian and his agent to put this kind of rumor out there to make him still appear to be a catch. Orgeron is not a drunk man fan. They didn't mesh at USC and I'm willing to bet that nothing has happened to change it. Orgeron is a lot smarter than folks give him credit for. Why in hell would he waste LSU money on a pathetic lying addict who can't handle the stress of coaching? I mean let's face it, Bama is paying Sardrunkian what, an amount that works out to about $35k a year?
