If Eaux brings this douche over I suspect he'll be clear on his expectations. I don't suspect Eaux is an evil dictator, but I don't take him as a pushover either (though it is a little troubling that he let the smack talk get out of hand vs UF). Still praying we get someone else - isn't someone willing to take a flyer on Kiffen to be the face of their program?
Lol, I really can't either. I don't know many OC's out there. I wonder if a guy like Josh McDaniels would ever leave an NFL job for a college job if it paid more. He is making 1.5 a season with the Patriots. I wonder if money could ever sway him to leave the NFL. Probably not but would it hurt to enquire?
Did I miss the annointing? Lol. Why pay the guy in the millions if the HC has to "rein" him in every time there is a play that doesn't work? We all saw Saban chew Lane's ass on the sideline and frankly it was embarrassing to watch. Lane won't stay put for the long haul with that kind of treatment and nobody should. Who cares if Oeaux does it or not? Each leader/boss brings their own sense of leadership. Perhaps Ed can bring Kiffin to an even better place. I know it's tough to imagine but Nick isn't a deity. That's called controlling the lies. It must be exhausting for Saban to keep his cheeks clenched so tight all the time. And of course Ed is different. The rest of the world is. Saban knows what works for him. But nobody outside of Tuscaloosa buys that he's a great leader or an honest one at that. Nowhere near what I said about Kiffin. I pretty much hated some things about Lane. His immaturity, his control-freak mentality, his stubbornness, his off-the-field antics, his passive aggressive tendencies. But I always said he had a great football mind and I never found him to be dishonest outside of lying to his wife. And I wasn't pleased with how Haden treated him when he got fired. Hate is exactly what I have for the drunk man. He is an addict. They lie. They cheat. They steal. And then they lie some more. He lied to everyone around him. He has not taken responsibility or owned his choices and failures. He got way more than a fair shot to get his shit together but he didnt and then he sued. He's total shit.
We have voodoo here I'm sure we could raise the bear and have him coach. That would make the gumps jealous. When we win the SEC in the next couple of years we need to bring this tread back up.
Look, Bama fans aren't mad at Kiffin or necessarily the world. If he decides to make a lateral move, he's a big boy and he will sink or swim like anyone else. But controlling and managing your staff is what the head coaching business is all about. Controlling and managing the 4 and 5-star players as well. Given his track record, Saban's results look better in action than your concerns in theory. I've watched Kirby Smart get ripped a new one in real time over the years and he still survived and qualified for a nice HC position and usually sounds most thankful for the experience. I've also watched Saban tear into Jeremy Pruitt on the sideline and I saw Pruitt giving it right back and then some. That's also part of the give and take and the tension down there. Saban has chewed AJ McCarron's butt out verbally even taking a swat at that behind and I've watched in amusement as Saban is extremely careful about shouting much of anything Jalen Hurts way. Totally different people emotionally and Saban is enough of a general to know what buttons to push and when to push them. The red bull season is over for Orgeron and LSU is praying that what Alleva saw in those binders has something to do with how to control and manage an elite football program.
Says the poster with his middle finger pointed at the world. What you want to shovel matters little to me, but why be such a cry baby about rebuttal?
