    I can guarantee had LSU used the option with the correct QB, and that was not the lumbering tree JJ, they would have seen significant results.
    There is absolutely no reason why RS should not have had several option packages in a game. LSU's option failed more times than it succeeded because it was executed horribly most of the time.

    I totally agree. The problem was not the option. The problem was JJ. He is horribly slow and makes terrible decisions. Having said that, I prefer a pro style offense, but I like having someone who can run the option as a backup plan just in case.

    I have often wondered how much our lack of talent at QB hampered our play calling during the season. While both QB's had their own skill sets, neither of them possessed the ability to put the team on their shoulders. I am anxious to see how they will use Mett. In all honesty 2012 will be first year in the past four or five that we will have an SEC caliber QB behind center IMHO and I am anxious to see what that will look like.
