We are in the middle of two wars, what would you have done, invade Iran? The smart thing to do is what Obama did, drive the Iranians apart by covertly supporting their dissidents and not driving them together by attacking them, despite the provocation by Ahmanutjob trying to get us to do something like that. You would have us play right into his hands. Now, he's at odds with both the young students and with the religious establishment. There is another revolution about to happen in Iran and the smart thing to do is to let it hapen and encourage it, which is exactly what we are doing. Iran is not threat to us and will self-destruct soon.
What a load of crap! Egyptian and Libyan democracies???? :insane: There is not a democracy anywhere in the Arab world including our friends, the Saudis. This is the kind of foolishness you are promoting here. Do you seriously think Quadaffi was anything but a dictator?
You claim to honor the Constitution, but you claim now that freedom of speech and right to assembly are illegal. Once again, you don't seem to know what you are talking about.
In your imagination.
I think you are too far to the right to understand what a moderate position is. Moderates elected Obama, you know and they will reelect him based on what the GOP is offering right now.
Name a bad foreign policy.
I think you ignore that he is actually the President and you ignore what he has actually done. Involing guilt by association, you keep insisting that he must be like acquaintances from the past. There is not a shred of evidence that he is a Marxist or a communist. Not a shred.
Only he never said that, you made it up. He never once mentioned China, he never once said that no country should be a superpower, and obviously never said that he is "working to make the US a nation in decline." That is so absurd. HERE is the text of his Cairo speech, show us where he said those things.
Here is what he said about America . . .
"Just as Muslims do not fit a crude stereotype, America is not the crude stereotype of a self-interested empire. The United States has been one of the greatest sources of progress that the world has ever known. We were born out of revolution against an empire. We were founded upon the ideal that all are created equal, and we have shed blood and struggled for centuries to give meaning to those words – within our borders, and around the world. We are shaped by every culture, drawn from every end of the Earth, and dedicated to a simple concept: E pluribus unum: "Out of many, one."
And finally, just as America can never tolerate violence by extremists, we must never alter our principles. 9/11 was an enormous trauma to our country. America will defend itself respectful of the sovereignty of nations and the rule of law."
Bullchit, the US military has been downsized by Congress and every President ever since the end of the Cold War. We can't afford to maintain a military like that anymore with no corresponding threat. We have not lost military capability, the military is smaller, but stronger, has better logistics, and extremely high technology.
If he had pulled out without ending it properly you would be object even louder. You actually criticize Obama for what you praised Bush for.
Whats the matter, you not a Patriot anymore? Again it is a Congressional Act, not a Presidential decree.
Bush was the leader of the Republican part, he is conservative through and trough and the party supported him 100%. All knowledgeable people know this.
What in the world is a liberal Republican. Can you list some?
The founders stood for a lot more than that. They established a central government Of the People. Note that people is plural. We were never supposed to be everyman for himself. We are supposed to be all in this together.
